Important Message

What if you could start off your day looking in the mirror feeling like a million bucks instead of a hot mess?

THAT IS THE MAGIC OF LIP BLUSH, BABE!

What is Lip Blush?

It’s the hottest new trend in permanent makeup. Lip blush is a type of semi permanent cosmetic tattooing procedure that deposits pigments in your lips. It improves the shape of your lips, adds definition, and gives the illusion of fullness.

This is not to be confused with the old school “lip tattoo” procedure that emulates a fake lipstick look. Lip blush offers a much more natural look that enhances your lip’s shape and color. It provides a softer, sheer coverage. A custom shade is chosen for you for a neutral blush of color on your lips.

We’re so excited to offer this new service here at 1st Date Beauty.

With our new lip blush service you can minimize the time it takes to do your makeup so you can save time, feel fierce, and slay your day!

It’s perfect for the woman on the go! Instead of spending all that extra time getting dolled up to feel like a confident, bad-ass woman, you can feel like a beauty queen without any effort!

Your Cosmetic Tattoo Expert

Hello gorgeous!

I’m Kim, owner of 1st Date Beauty. It is my sole mission in life to help other women achieve effortless beauty so they can feel their most empowered, confident and fierce selves. I have worked in the beauty industry for about a decade and love what I do.

I take great pride in my work so I care a whole lot about your face and your results. My work is not done until I am proud and my customers are happy!

For the past three years, I have been specializing in cosmetic tattooing and mastered the art of ombre eyebrows. I received my training from the top experts at Advanced Microblading, the leading academy in the United States for permanent makeup. As a professional, I am always looking to improve my craft, so I will soon also be trained by Master Trainer, Brow Daddy.

In addition to mastering the craft of eyebrows, I’m so excited to expand my services to offer lip blush as well. I trained for this service at the premier Mara Cosmetic Tattoo Studio.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between a cosmetic tattoo and a body tattoo?

Unlike a cosmetic tattoo, body tattoo ink is implanted into the subcutaneous tissue. This is the fat layer that lies under the skin, making the tattoo permanent.

Cosmetic tattoo pigment is implanted into the dermis, which is the second layer of the skin. This means the cosmetic tattoo can’t last longer than 5 years.

How safe is cosmetic tattooing?

Cosmetic tattooing is very safe, especially in the hands of a skilled person. The Center of Disease Control has not reported any incidence of HIV in connection to tattooing nor has there been any increase of Hepatitis B in recent years.

What is your sterilization/sanitation process?
  • All needles and hand tools are single-use. They come in a sterilized package. They are disposed of after each client.
  • All materials used in the procedure like gauze, cotton swabs are also single-use and disposed of after each client.
  • Our cosmetic tattoo artists wear gloves and masks during the procedure and are disposed of after each client.
  • All stations are thoroughly disinfected after each client.
How long is the lip blush process?

The average time is about 3-4 hours.

How long does the Lip Blush last?

It can last up to 3 years. However, this does vary on each person and how well their skin takes the pigment.

Does it hurt?

We use medical grade numbing cream so you barely feel any pain.

Is there a healing period?

Cosmetic Tattooing takes 5-8 weeks to completely heal. During this time, you should avoid sun exposure, excessive sweating, heat, and swimming. Keep this in mind when scheduling social events like weddings or vacations, so that you don’t compromise your tattoo.

TESTIMONIALS

How It Works

The Process

At 1st Date Beauty, customer satisfaction and comfort is our #1 priority, so we provide a pleasant, pain-free experience.

Our lip blush service is completed in two sessions.

The purpose of the first session is to first even out the color of the lips to create a perfect base to start with.

First Session

Once you arrive at 1st Date Beauty for your scheduled appointment, we will bring you into our studio room where our friendly staff will walk you through the required forms for the procedure.

Next, we will go over any pictures you have of your ideal shape and shade for your lips.

Once we have a great idea of what your desired results are, we take before pictures.

Then, we will go over different color options that will best match your natural lip and skin tone.

After we’ve picked the perfect color, I will pre-draw/sketch the lip shape on your face. We’ll make sure the shape complements your face structure beautifully. Once you are satisfied with the shape, the tattooing process will begin.

Tattooing Process:

  • Create the outline.
  • Apply medically approved numbing cream for your ultimate comfort.
  • Complete the shading process.
  • Schedule your appointment for your second session.

The whole process takes about 3 hours.

Second Session - Complimentary Touch Up

A second session for a touch up is required 6 weeks after your first appointment.

  1. Apply medically approved numbing cream for your ultimate comfort.
  2. Complete the shading process.
  3. Show you the results to make sure you are loving them!
  4. Take after pictures to show the transformation.
  5. Wake up every morning feeling fabulous!

Note: Initially your lips will appear a bolder color, but will heal up to 50% softer.

Recommendations Before the Procedure for Best Results

A week prior to your lip blush appointment, exfoliate your lips. You can do this by creating your own sugar scrub. Mix a drop of coconut oil with sugar. This will help your lips stay hydrated and moisturized daily. Lips will be easier to work on. The procedure cannot be performed on dry lips.

Do not consume any alcohol 24 hours prior to procedure.

If you suffer from cold sores, you should be taking acyclovir at least 3 days prior to your appointment and take it 3 days after procedure as well.

After Care

A free after care kit will be provided for you to take home. Here is what the aftercare involves:

An hour after your lip blush procedure, take an antiseptic wipe and use it to gently wipe your lips. Then, wet a cotton round with lukewarm water and wipe over your lips.

Repeat this process right before you go to bed.

You can also place this ____ mask on your lips. It will help the swelling go down. Place it in the freezer for 5-10 minutes before placing on your lips. You can do this as many times as you like during the first day.

Swelling should only last between 2-3 hours and definitely be gone by the next morning.

You’ll want to apply _____ ointment on your lips daily. Apply using a q-tip. Try never to touch your lips with your hands. If you must use your hands, wash your hands before and after touching your lips.

As your lips are healing, they will start to peel and flake away naturally. It’s very important that you don’t pick at the flaking or rip it off. You can apply more of the ointment.

First Week (After Care)

Try not to get your lips wet for 3-5 days. Drink all liquids through a straw. When brushing your teeth, try your best not to get any water or toothpaste on your lips. You can wipe off any excess water off your lips with cotton rounds.

  • Avoid sun exposure for 6 days after your procedure.
  • Avoid saunas, hot tubs, and tanning beds. No heavy workouts, swimming or tanning.
  • Avoid applying any lip blams, lipstick, or any lip products during the first week.

Following the proper aftercare will help increase your lip’s color retention.

Week Two or Three (After Care)

WEEK TWO OR THREE (after care)
Once your lips are completely healed, you can go back to your regular cleansing and makeup routine. You may use sunblock on the healed area to protect from sun fading.

You will be reminded of all the aftercare steps after your procedure.
